WONDER WOMAN (1ST SERIES)

The first officially distributed issue of Wonder Woman in the UK was #110. All issues prior to this are unstamped cents copies. However, British stamped pence copies are exactly the same as their American counterparts, printed on the same day in the same place using the same paper.

The British-priced variants are considerably rarer than their US cents counterparts as it is thought that only 2-3% of the print run was put aside for export to the UK and whatever was left over was sent to South Africa and Australasia.

Wonder Woman was accorded a 'longevity' honour. All the various series have been taken into consideration and the number of issues restarted at #600, emphasizing her long history, right up there with Superman and Batman.

Originally cancelled with issue #329 as part of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" shake-up at DC, the series' original numbering was restored in 2010 after a fan-based campaign to recognize Wonder Woman's longetivity was successful. The campaign was started in part as a response to renumbering efforts on various long-running, and frequently ended and restarted, titles at Marvel.

To discern the "missing" issues, #330-599, one need only look to the Greg Potter/George Perez 226-issue post-Crisis revamp - Wonder Woman (2nd Series) - these would be #330-555, and the Allan Heinberg/Terry Dodson 44-issue post-Infinite Crisis reworking - Wonder Woman (3rd Series) - these would be #556-599. The numbering does not include either the #0 issue nor the #1000000 issue which were both released in the post-Crisis series (and were presumably exempted in the renumbering matter as other long-running DC titles like Batman, Detective Comics, Superman and Action Comics all had the #0 and #1000000 issues as parts of their runs).

There is a series of four Trade Paper Backs that collect #178-204 under the title Diana Prince Wonder Woman. Two further collected editions under the title Wonder Woman: Odyssey reprint #600-614 and Wonder Woman: The Twelve Labors reprints #212-222.
