Black and White Trade paperback collection that reprints The Bogie Man #1-4 by Fat Man Press in 1989 and The Bogie Man: Chinatoon #1-4 by Atomeka Press in 1993.
Combining black humor with crime fiction, The Bogie Man introduces Francis Forbes Clunie, an escaped mental patient under the delusion that he is really Bogie, the world's greatest private investigator. Believing that he is an amalgamation of every detective ever played by Humphrey Bogart, Clunie wanders the streets of Glasgow in search of the legendary Black Bird and the deadly Fat Man. Interpreting every random encounter to be part of an intricate conspiracy, the psychotic detective builds his case around coincidences and misunderstandings. And in the end, Clunie is always successful in solving a mystery that makes no sense and never even existed.
