(Previously All-American Western)
All-American Men of War did not start with issue #1; it was a re-naming of the 1948 series All-American Western, which itself was a re-naming of the 1939 series All-American Comics. The title became All-American Men of War with issue #127, published in Aug./Sept. 1952. All-American Men of War published two issues before re-booting the numbering, strangely with issue #2 in Dec. 1952/Jan. 1953.
The first officially distributed issue was #75 cover-dated Nov 1959. All distributed in the UK at the time after that. These early distributed issues (1959-1960) are generally scarce or very scarce in the UK as pence copies.
