BEANO COMIC (THE)
There are only a handful of copies exist. It is thought to be rarer than issue #2.
In Jun 2003 a FN copy sold for £1,815. In Sep 2004 a VG copy sold at auction for £1,210. In Sep 2009 Comic Book Postal Auctions achieved £2,200 for a Fine copy.
Jun 2015 Comic Book Postal Auctions catalogue, a #3 fetched £1,482 (inc. a 14% Buyer's Premium), a basic Good grade copy descrbed as having a 'bright cover colours with 2 x 1½ ins margin tears and 2 ins horizontal spine tear going through all pages. Also some crayon to front cover margins. Light tan pages with some margin foxing'.
Sep 1st 2024: Comic Book Postal Auctions sold a nice looking Fine copy for a record £4,850. Fabulous! What COMPAL has done for the advancement of top British comics is incalculable.
