#1537 the New Year issue but no mention on the cover. #1550 Easter issue. #1572 advertises the Beano Book 1973 on the cover. #1581 Billy the Cat makes a cover appearance. #1585 advertises the Beano Book 1973 again on the cover. #1588 Christmas issue.
While special issues like New Year, April Fool and Fireworks fetch a little more than a 'regular' issue, the Christmas issue always commands much more - twice and on occasion for high grade copies, three times the value of a 'regular' issue.
