#1394 Easter issue. #1432 Xmas issue. There was no April Fool issue or indeed a Fireworks issue.
While special issues like New Year, April Fool and Fireworks fetch a little more than a 'regular' issue, the Christmas issue always commands much more - twice and on occasion for high grade copies, three times the value of a 'regular' issue. So a nice grade Christmas issue should fetch £25 or so. A really really high grade £50-60 at least.
#1397-1403 I always enjoyed - Biffo's Family Tree on the cover where he tells the story of his illustrious ancesters in the age of the Elizabethans or The Normans, The Vikings or the Cavaliers. Funnily enough I remember it really interested me in history at the tender age of 8, an interest that has stayed with me for my whole life.
A complete 1969 year sold in the Comic Book Postal Auction Summer 2008 catalogue for £153.
#1416 advertises the 1970 Beano Book as part of the Biffo story - an indication that the Christmas annuals traditionally came out in September.
#1423 features the last Biffo the Bear cover by Dudley Watkins who died on Aug 20th 1969 after 31 years as a Beano artist from issue #1.
