Not sure of my dates for start and
finish of this series. It could be that it went up as far as 1976. I
only have
2 annuals, the 1967 and 1970 ones. In the 1967 annual (copyright year
1966),
the editorial talks about the Boy s Own Annual #2 launched in Christmas
1965
(therefore it was the 1966 annual and one presumes the first one was
1965,
published around Christmas 1964). These are quite old style Boy s Own
Paper
which as a title began in 1879. Lots of things to make, photo features,
boys
hobbies, sporting stars, illustrated dramatic text stories. Annuals from
a
bygone age that hearken back to The Eagle Annual if you like. Quite hard
to
find but limited appeal beyond the purely nostalgic. I like them for the
Patrick Moore articles.
